Moroccan banking group to open in the UAE

The Moroccan Foreign Trade Bank (BMCE) announced on June 24, it got the green light from the UAE financial market regulator to open a representative office in Abu Dhabi.

According to a statement published by the Moroccan banking group, the representative office is intended to foster closer ties with the Moroccan community residing abroad and to continue the development strategy of the group internationally.

Note that BMCE Bank is present in 20 countries in Africa. The Banking group was founded by the Moroccan billionaire Othman Benjelloun who aims in the next ten to fifteen years, to open branches in the remaining 34 countries of the continent.
