Nokia Networks wins Saudi contract

Nokia Networks announced Wednesday the signing of a major contract with Zain (Saudi Arabia) for the modernization and extension of the network operator in Saudi Arabia as part of a program called ‘Reload’. The Finnish supplier will be responsible for deploying 4G small cells technology to improve the connection quality in buildings, offices, shops and hotels.

The project aims to cope with the increased demand expected in the month of November with the hajj pilgrimage season. Launched in 2008, Zain KSA now serves eight million customers with a network covering almost 93% of the population.
