United Arab Emirates are in the lead among the countries that have attracted more talent between November 2012 and November 2013, according to data from LinkedIn. Currently about 300 million people are enrolled in the social network.
The company listed the 10 economies that most caught the attention of professionals and those who “lost more talent” in the period. The ranking leader recorded a large migration of professionals who have changed jobs or had promotions within companies (about 40%). In total, 75% of the talents that have immigrated to the Emirates are from outside the Middle East, actually most of them are from India.
Saudi Arabia has also attracted many professionals and ranked third in LinkedIn’s study.
Ali Matar, head of Talent Solutions, LinkedIn MENA, told GulfBusinees: “This latest study shows that two Middle Eastern nations, UAE and Saudi Arabia, have gained talent at 1.3 per cent and 0.9 per cent respectively. Talent inflows are from Europe, USA, the Subcontinent, and other Arab nations, showing that the Gulf states still retain their attractiveness for employment.”
